CCF Earth Awards
WHY ENTER THE AWARDS?
The Earth Awards are an ideal opportunity to present your company’s capabilities to the industry, your clients and prospective clients. The Earth Awards is not about awarding prizes to projects. Rather, it is awarding excellence in project delivery.
Be recognised as a finalist or winner at state/territory and national levels for your company’s excellence in project delivery. The awards recognise civil construction companies who have excelled in:
- Project & construction management
- Innovation
- People development & training
- Quality management
- Safety management
- Environmental management
- Stakeholder management
N.B. All project category values must take into consideration the projects final cost inclusive of variations and GST.
EXCELLENCE IN CIVIL CONSTRUCTION:
- Project value up to $2M
- Project Value $2M to $5M
- Project Value $5M to $10M
- Project Value $10M to $30M
- Project Value $30M to $75M
- Project Value $75M to $150M
- Project Value greater than $150M
JUDGING CRITERIA
Submissions will be assessed against the following criteria:
1. Project & Construction Management (30%)
a) Project Planning & Management
b) Construction excellence and industry best practice
c) Technical complexities
d) Project timing/milestones and budgets
2. Innovation (20%)
a) Innovation concept and implementation
3. People Development & Training (10%)
a) Initiatives / Programmes / Recognition
4. Quality Management (10%)
a) Planning management and outcomes
5. Safety Management (10%)
a) Planning management and outcomes
6. Environmental Management (10%)
a) Planning management and outcomes
7. Stakeholder Management (10%)
a) Planning management and outcomes
WHO CAN ENTER?
The awards are open to all Australian Civil Construction companies.
Entries are welcome for projects involving either:
- Single Contractors; or
- Joint Entry; involving Contractor/Client/Consultant/Designer; or
- Overseas Aid Projects – CCF Members only in the Asia/Pacific region (companies entering such projects will be required to assist in travel costs for judging).
ELIGIBILITY
A project is eligible for the Earth Awards if it was completed in the 12 months to 31 March 2026 or has reached “practical completion stage” (Ref. AS4000 – 1997) at 31 March 2026.

CCF NT also acknowledges the importance of recognising the outstanding efforts and achievements by the next generation of contractors undertaking tertiary education and apprenticeships in the civil construction industry.

The annual Awards for Excellence in Training are an opportunity to recognise the efforts and achievements of people undertaking courses and apprenticeships in the civil construction industry and help give them the best possible start to their new careers with awards being given to the highest achieving people over the past 12 months. Both events will be celebrated at the Gala Dinner.

CCF NT Traffic Management Project of the Year Award
CCF NT are pleased to announce a new award category to recognise the importance of traffic management in the civil industry. This new award will be presented to an organisation which has demonstrated excellence in project delivery for traffic management services associated with a Northern Territory civil construction project.

Support Champion of the Year
Site Supervisor of the Year
Plant Operator of the Year
Support Champion of the Year
This award category will be presented to an individual who has demonstrated a
passion for the construction industry in a supporting role. They have earned respect
within their employer organisation for the integral role they perform, achieving
outstanding results and making a significant difference.
Site Supervisor of the Year
This award highlights an individual who has exceeded in the management of site
requirements, ensured the efficient use of plant and people resulting in a high-quality
finish of the project.
Plant Operator of the Year
This award highlights and celebrates the crucial role that plant operators play in delivering civil infrastructure. It serves to honour individuals who excel in their responsibilities, contribute to the overall success of the projects, and uphold high standards of safety and operational excellence.
